Fashion month may be long gone but you guys know we’re never out of style up in this joint. Continue reading Fashionably Yours Truly
So school/uni is back in session and the fashion aspect is certainly not in recess either.
With autumn mode activated, it’s sweater weather and this slogan sweatshirt from River Island comes in handy for that casj chic, I-just-threw-this-on look. It’s the perfect combo of chic and comfort and of course, with the slogan Feminism emblazoned across the chest, it was a no brainer. Power to the Sisters!😀
To balance things out, I matched the bright orange with a pair of white distressed skinny jeans with some floral embroidery. The result: certainly more than A for effort!😜💪🏾
This look is not just for students but is also perfect for that off-duty look. Whatever you get up to this weekend, hope you get some weekend style inspo from this. Have a fantastic weekend.

You don’t need to know me too well to know that I’m a bit of a girly girl. That means I’m more likely to be found in a frilly dress or tulle skirt than anything else.
I also wouldn’t be The Emerald lass if I wasn’t all about my greens. No, not the ones on my dinner plate.😬 I love almost every shade of green there is out there but Emerald remains my fave. Such a rich and vibrant shade, what a gem!
Summer may be packing up its bags but that’s not about to stop me from going for gold, (well, green) in this Topshop wrap dress. I love the lady-like appeal of dresses. In a wrap dress, you can’t be anything short of a lady. I’m not usually one to favor low necklines so this was a little out of my comfort zone. But I love that it’s low but not revealing and I hope I still managed to pull off a classy, demure look whilst adding a bit of sass.If you’re worried about being weather appropriate, throw on a pair of tights or fishnets, add a pretty cardigan or a blazer and Bob’s your uncle!😀 To compliment the dress, I paired it with my pink ASOS pumps and added my green fur box bag from Mango.

Aloha my lovelies. Let’s cut straight to the chase, shall we? Today, I’m bringing you some “Flora my flower” meets “Can’t read my polka face” mixed up with some “hype my stripes” moment. There is never a bad time for polka dots, Marc Jacobs once reportedly said. If there is, it certainly cannot be this season because they are in right now. But you know I don’t do trends just for the sake of trends…I’m all for this spotty number of a crop top because I thought it was super cute . And you also know I wouldn’t be the lass you love, if I just did plain polka dots because what’s life without a bit of intended sartorial chaos? So I thought I’d pair the top with some striped pants to hype this look and of course let’s not forget the florals too. Life’s too short to play it safe. The result, I believe is this fun ensemble that I thoroughly enjoyed putting together.
I hope you like the look.

Hey beautiful folks. Been a wee minute!🙈 Life has been busy lately. Seems like all one does as an adult is work and pay bills and work some more. Oh well. To my UK/Ireland folks, hope you’ve been enjoying the heatwave. Today in London is slightly nippy but hey, I think we prayed for some breeze so can’t complain!😀In today’s post, I’ll be sharing details of my collaboration with the fantastic brand that is SGTC clothing, an Afrocentric ready to wear brand based in Lagos, Nigeria.Summer time calls for prints! And no one does fabulous print pieces like SGTC. Their pieces are very affordable, unique not to mention stylish. What more can a girl ask for?🤷♀️ This wrap top is one of their bestsellers. You’ll understand why if you know how versatile it can be. It is the gift that keeps on giving as it can be rocked in so many ways. For a smart casj look, I paired it with my old RI shorts. Watch out for more ways that I’ll be rocking this piece for the rest of the summer.
They say pictures tell a thousand words so I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking. It’s hard to believe that this brand is less than 2 years old! The founder, Adetoke Oluwo is the epitome of girl boss and is someone I personally admire for her zeal for business (amongst many other things). You certainly want to check out their page on Instagram, SGTC where you can contact them to place your orders. They have stockists in London @enchanted_lounge , Ankara ready but also deliver to any part of the world, straight from Lagos. Until next time, hasta lavista, my lovelies. ✌🏾

The royal wedding had us all glued to our screens over the weekend. So many beautiful moments; from the bride’s little helpers assisting her with her dress, to her graceful walk to the altar, the powerful message from Bishop Curry who sure took us to church, the choir’s beautiful rendition of Stand By Me…the list goes on.
It’s that time of the year again. The day the world goes green and the world at large celebrates a special nation for its rich history, lush landscape, dynamic heritage and culture, amongst many other things. Continue reading Go for Green- St Paddy’s Day 2018

This outgoing season has seen the rise of gingham. I was sharing with a friend recently about how I don’t feel pressured to follow trends. I’m not saying I’m immune to them but neither am I slave to them. Continue reading Gingham style
