Fashion month may be long gone but you guys know we’re never out of style up in this joint. Although sometimes fashionably late, we stay fashionably true to form. So pardon me that I’m only finally getting round to posting my look to London Fashion week that took place last month. What’s all this fuss about fashion week, I hear you ask. Well, it’s that time of the year when the fashion pack across the country and even outside, head out in droves, into the capital, to get first glimpse into what’s in store for next season. On a personal note, this particular LFW was kinda a big deal because…well, it was my first! Exciting, right!Don’t ask me why or how I’ve been living in this great city for years but never attended London fashion week. That’s a blog post for another day. For those who are familiar with how fashion week work, only the elite few actually get to attend the shows as the tickets are not open to the general public but by invite only. The rest of the pack, however still deck up to the nines because where the real action is, is on the streets. Street style is the real runway where bloggers, fashion enthusiasts, you name it, get to strut their stuff and get pap’d. It therefore is important to nail your street style outfit. So out came my Topshop striped Bardot shirt and Topshop tutu skirt. The idea was to have a monochromatic thing going and then splash it with a pop of color, with the addition of the yellow double breasted blazer and tasseled mules. The result- lady like meets girly sassy, meets street chic.On the way to fashion week, a stop at Dominique Ansel Bakery in Belgravia was necessary. If you’re in London or visiting, you should try it. Thank me later. 😜And that’s it for some street style fabulousness for this week. Until next time, hasta la vista!
