‘Fit for Royalty

The royal wedding had us all glued to our screens over the weekend. So many beautiful moments; from the bride’s little helpers assisting her with her dress, to her graceful walk to the altar, the powerful message from Bishop Curry who sure took us to church, the choir’s beautiful rendition of Stand By Me…the list goes on.

Being the hard core romantic that I am, my favorite has got to be that moment she got to the altar with her Prince Charming in waiting. In a cathedral packed with hundreds and practically, the world watching, they share a tender moment, where it seemed as though it was just the two of them in the room as they muttered sweet nothings to each other. Oh for the love of love!😍😍😍Anyhoo, it’s Tuesday morning and whilst Meghan’s fairytale continues, some of us have to check back into reality. Today’s outfit is a day time look fit for office royalty. It could serve as work wear and even for brunch/high tea at the weekend. Both shirt and skirt are from Topshop. I wore the skirt at the weekend and got so many compliments for it. Unfortunately, it was purchased two summers ago and is no longer available. The weather seems to have finally picked up again…Gott sei dank, so it’s time for florals and brights to take the lead role. I’m a big fan of tonal dressing because it’s easy and when done right, looks effortless. Tonal dressing is wearing the same hue from head to toe to create a polished, fuss free look. The whole point is coordination so the key is to make sure the shades are as similar as possible so it doesn’t look all over the shop. I like that the embroidered floral detail on this shirt breaks up the monotone a bit and adds more character to the look.
