The Victorian Lass

As far as I’m concerned, I would have fitted right into 19th century society. Okay, perhaps not so easily but such is (and has been) my fascination with the fashion of the Victorian era ever since I could remember.
Elegant high necks. Delicate lace. Romantic ruffles. Dare to be your own version of the proverbial English Rose in this Victorian dress. As wedding season proceeds, this (Nigerian-Irish) Rose is not about to wilt but rather blossom. I continue to share wedding guest looks to provide inspiration for how to wow at your next wedding with as minimal effort as possible. Traditional meets contemporary in this Topshop ruffle lace embroidered dress. The elegance of the dress is obvious but more so, for me, is the whimsical flair it exudes. It’s the perfect, well balanced combination of dreamy, romantic and edgy. This could also be a great choice for brides as an inexpensive outfit for a bridal shower or even a rehearsal dinner. Cost savvy brides, you’re welcome. 👰🏾I love that the dress speaks for itself and requires minimal fuss even in terms of accessories. I opted for these chic nude shoes to complement the cream dress. As a stylish precaution against the ever so temperamental British/Irish weather For a match made in heaven effect, casually throw on a camel toned embroidered Trench coat to finish off the look. Voila. Best dressed guest status in the bag. 😜Happy styling and enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Love, Sumbonita
