Grown and Lacey

imageThis summer has been a season of contrasts; in colours, textures and even themes. Lingerie details and pyjama style are no longer restricted for bedtime and lazying around on Saturday mornings as you will note in today’s post.imageThis Guipure lace top from Zara was love at first sight. If the lacey material wasn’t enough to catch my eye, the emerald green colour definitely did it. I also like strappy “sleeves” like this. I generally don’t like completely sleeveless ie boob-tubed tops so I find this a nice compromise between sleeved and sleeveless. imageimageIn line with mixing textures, something I’m experimenting with a lot lately, I opted for these soft woven fabric, wide legged cobalt blue trousers River Island to pair with the lace. Isn’t this blue hue oh so electric?😄imageThis is a nice alternative to a dress for formal events.  I always like the challenge and buzz of creating outfits from separates; they’re unique and you do not run the risk of having someone wear the same outfit as you. It’s wedding season so I look forward to rocking these sort of looks to my upcoming events.

Love,
