That 70’s show: Valentine’s Ed

IMG_3073Of course I’ll hurt you. Of course you’ll hurt me. Of course we will hurt each other. But this is the very condition of existence. To become spring means accepting the risk of winter. To become presence, means accepting the risk of absence. – The Little PrinceHappy Valentine’s Day, guys. ♥♥♥

The quote above is easily my favourite quote from the amazing novella, The Little Prince as it pretty much sums up my philosophy on romance and I suppose to a larger extent, relationships in general. Love, I have come to realise is not just an emotion, it’s a choice.  Often times, love has failed not because two people aren’t meant to be but because one or possibly the two have failed in making the ultimate decision to choose each other, through thick and thin. Human beings are fickle and fallible; the only perfect love is Christ’s. As much as I love romance and all it entails, seeking perfection in human love is a recipe for disappointment. Don’t let’s get carried away with the commercialised aspect of today, it’s bigger than the roses, chocolates and fancy gifts you may or may not receive. Whether you’re single, taken, blissfully in love… I hope you’re having  a great day and enjoying quality time with loved one(s). IMG_0182IMG_3338  As the grand finale, my final outfit for my Valentine’s look book features this red metallic jacquard culotte jumpsuit from River Island. I bought this for my beautiful client I did some personal shopping for at the end of last year and she loved it. It had recently gone on sale and given it had taken a lot of self-restraining not to purchase it initially, the further reduction was proof that it just was meant to be. The geometric pattern on the jacquard combined with the high funnel neck gives it such a 70s vibe, with of course, my big ‘fro sealing the look.   It has now sadly sold out but RI still have a range of jumpsuits this season and you can find a similar one hereIMG_3344 image1-3IMG_3337IMG_3345  The most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched, they are felt with the heart. Whether it’s with that special one or even a parent, sibling, friend…remember that when all’s said and done, the beauty of life, amidst the chaos and trials of this world, lies in the relationships in your life.IMG_3341 IMG_3347 It is the time you have wasted for your rose that makes your rose so important.  – The Little Prince.

Despair not if love seems to  have eluded you so far; your time will come and with the right person, it’ll be worth the wait.
