Pretty Pastels and Pleats

_MG_4483My River Island pink two-tone colossal coat finally makes its debut on the blog. Oversize coats were huge for winter and continue to be a hit with me. _MG_4485

_MG_4486_MG_4489To celebrate Easter, I opted for a sizeable dosage of pretty pastels. This mint embellished knitted jumper from Topshop goes well with jeans just as well as skirts. The embellishment around the neckline reminds me of candy sprinkles. Sweetness. 😉_MG_4521I have a thing for skirts; particularly midi and flared skirts. Add pleats to that and I am sold. This A-wear skirt is one of my favourites for Spring/Summer. I still haven’t gotten over the fact that A-wear is no more. It was one of my favourite Irish high street brands. But it leaves in its wake this beaut amongst many others. Thanks for the legacy, Awear. To complete the look, it had to be my Zara tri-coloured shoes. _MG_4492_MG_4490_MG_4515This season (Easter) last year, I did my first “photo-shoot’ for this blog. It’s been an eventful year- the journey so far hasn’t been without its highs and lows but one I would do all over again. Grateful for all the loyal supporters of TEL; you make the journey worthwhile. Amidst the fears, doubts and apprehension, it’s been a lot of fun, I’ve learnt a lot and continue to discover and maximise my passion and potential._MG_4525Speaking of seasons, like any other holiday these days, it’s easy to be distracted by the commercialised aspects. Beyond the bunnies and the eggs (and my personal favourite), the much loved 2-day bank holiday, Easter is a time of reflection of what Christ did over two thousand years ago on the Cross. Greater love has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. What amazing love. As we celebrate the resurrection, remember: the tomb is still empty, and Jesus still lives, and that’s the hope for you and I. Our Redeemer lives. 🙂
